Alto Clarinet Adventures! Part 1

  • Dec. 12th, 2009 at 1:21 PM

Hello everyone,

So I've decided that for the next 2-3 months I'll write a blog story/blog entries about my Alto clarinet Adventures.

So let's start from the beginning.

I'm Aziro I've played the Bb Clarinet for the past 5 1/2 years and just last week I was asked to join a clarinet chior. However they asked me to play the Eb Alto Clarinet. After getting everything okay'd I now have an Eb Alto clarinet which I will be playing ^.^

The Clarinet Chior consists of 9 people. 6 Bb Clarinets (split into 3 different parts), 1 Alto Clarinet, 1 Bass Clarinet, and 1 Contrabass Clarinet.

So yesterday was the first day I was the first day I had the alto cause I picked it up around 4pm. So I didn't do much with it other then figure out how to put it together then put some cork greas on it. I played a note or two but nothing more due to how late it was getting. So today I put it together again and am actually starting to get more notes out. I'm trying to be able to play scales on it but Since I'm not used to the embochure for it I keep sqweeking. No wait scratch that it keeps Screeching. Like full out. It sounds like a dying animal XD

Our first performance will be in feburary and we'll be playing Rondo but it's for a display of our playing before we go to competition with the peice. Then the next performance would be 2-3 days after that. And hopefully we'll be good enough to continue on and play at the state level of the competition.

Out of the 9 people in the Clarinet chior 2 will be switching instruments. 1. Me from Bb Clarinet to Eb Alto and 2. B-Chan (I'm not going to post any of thier names~ Sorry) from Bb Bass clarinet to Bb Contra Bass clarinet.

I hope we do good!

Hello there,

Wow I waited till late to post today. I had alot of cleaning and homework to do today so I'm really tired but I just had a dr.pepper so that helps alot. Anyways today the main focus of my post will be scripting.

So I've recently decided I wanted to fandub chrono crusade episode 1 so of course I opened up auditions (which are still open by the way) but that was the easy part. Then I downloaded the raw episode which suprisingly didn't take forever. But anyways then I got to the scripting and I then remembered the reason why my eureka 7 fandub was a fail. It's because I 1: didn't even finish scripting the episode and 2: didn't even script right. Scripting is a long and tedious process cause before you can fandub an episode there has to be a script for you to send out. Well while writing the script you have to make sure you write everything down then on top of that you have to make sure the words and lip flaps go together. So you have to sit there and say each line and modify it to fit the lip flapps without taking away the meaning of the saying. But after spending 5 days on it tonight I've finally finished the script for the first episode which makes me want to continue scripting through episode 10 but I won't just yet. I might script through episode 2 but in the end it will all come down to how long it takes everyone to get thier lines in. If it take 6 months of nagging and pleading and frustration to recive all the lines then no I won't go on. I would understand if there were like 20 characters but there's not there's like 10 and only half of them have any good amount of lines and I won't worry about doing any extra background people because there are none and there's no scenes in need of ambiance noise.

Ok well that's my blurb for today I wonder if anyone will actually read my blogs. Oh well in the end it'll be worth it to go back and read through all of these blogs.

Writer's Block: Cookies

Hello there,

Todays blog will center around procrastination! Or in my case non-procrastination-ness. I'll say it flat out if you procrastinate you're only killing yourself. I never did my class work because I said I could do it later and then just talk to my friends. Well that later got put off so much that I never did it and I got a zero for it. The same goes for homework and take home tests and lab reports. Well this six weeks I've so far done a really good job with keeping up with everything and it's been good for my grades thankfully. So If you procrastinate I recommend not doing so!

Well that's all for today,
Aziro

One actually told me to jump off a bridge. I don't have it anymore but it was so hilarious I couldn't stop laughing. The waiters thought I was crazy. Good times Good times.

Hello there,

Not sure what the main point about my blog is today so today I'll just blurb about random stuff.

Blurb one: Sending an email to a pop star. Yes so As most know that it's pretty much impossible for stars to read any emails they get from fans which defeats the point of sending one. But I recently tried to send one (not expecting a reply back) however what I got back was just plain stupid. The email was open and read by the president of the star's fanclub. Then replied to with a pretty genaric message but seiously. Why reply back. 1 people want to hear back from the star so if the fanclub replies thats just pointless I know that I would have rather not recived an email back. but what's worse is that it told me the star had read the email but at the bottem it had a ps saying that if I asked for a phone number or im then it wouldn't be provided. Which defeated the whole purpose of the reply cause that alone told me the star hadn't even read the email.

Blurb 2: Non-procrastination-ness. Yes so lately I'm been doing what I've supposed to be doing but actually when I'm supposed to do in not afterwards. It's a good thing knowing that I don't have to worry about not having homework finished on time or not having the house clean. So things are going good for the moment let's just hope they keep going like this.

Ok that all for today!

Job?

  • Feb. 2nd, 2009 at 6:07 PM

Hello there,

Back once again to post more blurbs and stuff. My main focus for today will be jobs.

I've applied for 10 jobs in january (the first two weeks the earliest one being the 5th) and I havn't recived a single call back or interview. It's not like I'm just wanting a job for the extra cash but in fact I need a job to help pay for payments of a trip I'll be taking this may. Though I'm not exactly worried about the payments themselves rather then food and souviener money for the trip. It's starting to worry me cause my ideal was to have $700 extra and there's only so much money I can milk from family.

Though somehow I find it not very likly that I'll be getting a job anytime soon cause all the jobs will be given to all the older people who were laid off and need the money for a living. But it's starting to bug me.

Plus after the trip I'll be needing a job to pay for a car which next year I most definantly will need due to the fact that my parents will be refusing to drive me places.

This is really testing my paitence and It's wearing thin.

Hello there,

Here I am once again. So this blog will be about that's ticks me off about Amature voice acting.

My main complaint is when a producer has 5 open characters and recives like 15 auditions yet cast all 5 of the main characters to 2 more well know actors. 3 for one person and 2 for the other! No wonder alot of people just give up on this. Personally this is completely unfair for all those who send auditions in. I mean it just solidifies my anger.

You know when there's an anime you audition for and you work hard and know you have a good immitation of one or more characters and you click on the thread to see the audition lines but scroll down to the bottom instead. It's because you know if you see a certain actors name in the 'has auditioned' list you know it's not even worth it to audition cause you know they'll get the part.

What's more is there's one producer who's basically evening the playing feild but making a simple competition and he gets yelled at. What's more is it's the voice actors that are always getting roles that are complaining! Saying "It's making Voice Acting into a competition" News flash it is a competition! It always was! They just never notice that it is due to the fact that if they audition they get the part. So yea it's a competition but at least it's fair.

The way amature voice acting is now is it's always the same people getting cast for roles and it's pretty close to impossible for any amatures to get cast as anything. That is unless they've had years of vocal experiance and expensive equipment.

*sigh* I think I'm done T.T

And to those who think I'm just a whiney nooB who doesn't know how to shut up think again. I've been amature Voice acting for 2 years now and I've been cast as many things. I'm speaking from experiance and I sympathise with all the new people. I've been in this for 2 years and I'm still trying to work through the ranks.

Ok ok I'm done *Is Brick'd*

Hello again,

Well I've scripted nine minutes of the chrono crusade which is pretty darn good. Plus I changed my layout to this one. It's kawaii nee?

Plus If you're looking for anything good to listen to music wise I just found an amazing singer today on youtube His name is Declan and he's from Ireland. His music isn't like the crap we listen to today in america. It's different it and the tunes are catchy. So if you have the chance Take a listen to this boy cause he has talent!

That's it for now,

Hello

Hello there everyone,

I'm new to LJ even though I've known about it for years so I've finally gotten one. I'm Aziro Fusima also known as Midnightmoonproductions from The VAA. I've been voice acting for 2 years now but only amature wise. I plan on becoming a professional voice actress but that will take some time. I'm currently in the works of making a Fandub of the show chrono crusade. Auditions for all characters will remain open till march so take a look at those if you're interested. I've started the scripting process today so that should be done before auditions close.

I'm also into singing I run a cover group called Fuyu Hoshi and we just finished auditions for generation 2 so they've started working on thier generation album. Also Generation 1 kyuuka members are one person away from having all thier lines turned in for the first single.

So I guess that'll be all for now. I'm gonna get back to scripting.
